Our Mission
Our mission is to bring the Libyan community across New South Wales together by creating a welcoming, inclusive and supportive community. We aim to preserve and celebrate Libya’s rich culture, heritage and traditions while providing opportunities for individuals and families to connect, build friendships and support one another.
We organise a range of community activities throughout the year, including school holiday activities, Ramadan gatherings and Eid celebrations, creating opportunities for families and community members to come together.
We are also committed to supporting new Libyan families settling in NSW, helping them feel welcomed, connected and supported as they begin their lives in Australia.
Through community events, cultural programs, family activities and practical support, we strive to strengthen connections between generations, help young people maintain a connection with their Libyan heritage, and build positive relationships with the wider Australian community.
The Libyan Association of NSW welcomes Libyan individuals and families across New South Wales, as well as anyone who has an interest in Libyan culture and community.
Many of our community events are open to the wider Libyan community. Some activities may have registration or membership requirements. Please check the details of each event for more information.
